“Why Girlfriends are so Important”

Over the last few years I’ve really grown to appreciate my close girlfriends. Being able to call one of them up and explain every “TMI” scenario that happened that week in extreme detail without being judged is the best!
When I was struggling to find balance with food, I found that the key people who supported and helped me (whether they knew it or not) were the ones who UNDERSTOOD where I was coming from. 
The people who I could relate to were the ones that made me feel like I really could overcome the diet cycle and mindset. Yes, of course, I have friends and loved ones who have no clue what it’s like to struggle with food, and they were completely supportive and wanted me to be happy, BUT there’s nothing like the connection with someone who gets it.
If you’re reading this post right now, then I am assuming that you currently have or have had struggles when it comes to food.
Take a moment and ask yourself: 
  • Do you have relationships with people who get it?
  • Who understand what it’s like to WANT to be FREE of food noise?
  •  People who get that you are trying to find balance?
It’s okay if you don’t! And if you do, that’s awesome, but there’s always room for more, right? 🙂
When we keep our thoughts to ourselves, our secrets, our fears and anxieties… it KEEPS us sick. HOLDS us back from making positive changes. It wears down our mental state and is harder to be happy.
The one thing that could be missing from your ability to overcome the negative diet cycle could be that you need a network of people around you who can relate & support!
